Origins of Poppyed Boutique

Our grandfather and his entrepreneurial spirit is really where both the idea and name of our boutique were derived from. Our Grandfather aka "Poppy" was a huge influence in our lives. He was a dreamer, had great work ethic and always was driven to strive for more. My earliest memory with Poppy was sitting on a hammock at his farm house and learning about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. At 4 years old, I didn't really know what that man was talking about, but now 30 years later I can appreciate the invaluable lessons I had with him. 

Like it was for most people, this past year 2020 was an interesting year and it put a lot into perspective. I realized that I had regrets about being too afraid to step out of my comfort zone and go after a dream of mine. I had always dreamt that I would be an entrepreneur and start my own business. That said, I didn't know quite what it was going to be and truth be told I wanted to do it all. I have always been an event planner at heart and I decided that I would start there, I would formalize a business plan to start an event planning business. While going through that process, I realized the access that I had to everything now that I was formalizing my business. That's when I had that light bulb moment, why don't I open an online boutique.

So where does my sister Sara come into play? Sara is my "Ride of Die" and we love spending time together. When I had the idea I didn't really ask her if she wanted to be involved, I told her what we were going to do and there has been no looking back. 

What does the boutique sell? Whatever we want. We really enjoy home decor and all things entertaining, but we will share everything and anything that we like because we can. 

What can you expect from us? We will provide you with the best customer service we possibly can. We will work hard to find you the best products at the best price because who doesn't love a great deal?! And most importantly, we will share as much joy and fun during our live sales as possible! You will not leave a live sale upset or regretting spending time with us, you only live once and why not make it fun!
